Disco 2 Heater blowing hot and cold

Hello recently bought a discovery 2 At first was dumping coolant Then burst a coolant pipe. Then changed the thermostat and now it doesn't look like it going to dump the coolant any more not over pressuring. Lifted the header tank about the engine when filled with bleed nipple open But now the heater is blowing hot and cold in the cab. Hot when I accelerate but cold if I'm idle. If any one could help that would be great cheers

It’s an issue that’s not unknown with the D2 td5, I think you’ll find that the coolant level is low, as there are threads on this subject already.

Coolant level is on the cold line when cold and rises above when hot will double check 100% when I get in tho
