Heater/Blower not working

Can someone help please. The Heater/Blower in my 2007 Freelander HSE has stopped working. The lights on the dial come on but nothing else, as you can appreciate with winter coming my wife is getting slightly irritated with freezing herself.

Any advice would be appreciated.

If check the fuses first.

it could be the resistors behind the control knob you can get them easily of Ebay but get a decent set

take the three knobs off and then there are screws take them out and the panel is then loose you will see the wire wound resistors some times you can see one broke

Do the knobs just pull off - I don't want to force them too much but I've tried and not much give - I hope this is a Freelander 2 we're both talking about

I believe that the fan on the FL2 is computer controlled. A diagnostic reader is the next step.

There is a resistor pack on the FL2

Check the fuses first for the blower motor and if they're ok I'd check out the resistor pack
