No previous indication it was on it's way out. Any thoughts out there/ easy fix? Just hope there is no more frost or else I'll be in a wee bit of trouble.

Unfortunately it's an l322, no.. joking aside, ( indoor swimming pool issues).. it'll be as datatec says, a connection issue. To say that, connection issues can lead to failure.. You really need to take it back from whence it came and tell them to fix it.
