bit of a strange one put relay and fuses in wiggled all the wires and light on switch stays on.... But if I press the clutch downward the light on the switch goes off and operates as it should
That suggests there's a wire being grounded when it shouldn't be.
I've not had time to check the wiring diagram, but I'm pretty confident that the CCU will ground the HFS relay, and possibly the light on the switch too.

You're best action is to check for wiring that is making unintentional contact with part of the metalwork under the dash.

Yes that's what I thought I did get down and have a look but it's quite tight under there and nearly had to get my kid to pull me out as I got cramp in my back lol

Just removed my wiper motor and noticed 2 wires each side of windscreen at bottom (purple and black) but both sides have no connector on the ends does anyone know what sort of connector they should have as I think the car has had a replacement windscreen what isn't heated but I'm presuming it should be heated as it does have switch in car also has factory fitted fbh , car is a TD4 Sport SE

If it has the switch inside, and the wiring to the windscreen, then it should have a heated screen. Sounds like the previous owner didn't want to spend out of having the most useful option working correctly.

Do you have any idea What sort of connectors would have been on the end of the wires , because once I've got through the jobs I've got to do now weather is better I may get the windscreen change to heated as I'd only pay £115 excess

Was cleaning the windscreen inside today and noticed it has fine wires running through the glass so obviously my windscreen is heated but there is nowhere to connect the wiring at each side of the windscreen the wires don't look corroded and have no connectors on the ends also no connectors actually on the glass there is just nowhere I can see to connect them to windscreen

Cheers Andy I've removed all the plastic what I've got is 2 wires each side of windscreen I think 2 are earth wires and I presume the other 2 are live , none have any sort of spade connectors on them and there is nothing on the windows bottom that can be seen the wires are blue and black not purple as I previously stated I'm just wondering if the wires are soldered to the windscreen before fitting then connected the the car wiring I will take pics tomorrow if I get chance

You need a hefty relay to power it. The standard one is mounted on the side of the L shaped electrical under bonnet box.

Cheers andy
It's a td4 sport model it's got everything already just not connected at windscreen end the windscreen is heated but no connectors anywhere all I can think is the connectors have corroded away but seems extreme that they have all gone No spades on screen or the end of the wires
