Heated Seats

Hi,

My first post on this forum as I'm a new landrover owner. I've got a freelander 2 with a problem with the heated seats. The problem being they don't work. Well, they may well work but the switches in the dash don't work when I press them. I'm suspecting a fuse or relay or similar but was hoping someone may be able to point me in the right direction as there seems to be a number of fuse boxes with seemingly fuses for the same things in them all.

So, has anyone had a similar issue before? Is there a quick fix I can do before winter sets in. Thanks in advance.

From memory, the heated seat fuses are in the rear fuse box, but that's just a vague recollection.

The FL2 has a heavily integrated electric system, so a decent code reader is essential to identify issues with it. The Icarsoft I930 is a basic, but pretty good, multi-system scanner for all LR models. It'll definitely read and give fault codes for the HVAC module.

The other thing to check is, did the vehicle come with seat heaters as standard, or has a previous owner installed them, but not finished the installation?

The seats look factory originals, they're electric without memory buttons. Fuses are in the fuse box, didn't look like they'd blown but I've changed them for good measure and still no seat heating.

So it's an SE or XS at a guess.

Next, you need to get any codes from the HVAC module.

Hi I'm having a similar problem on my 2010 hse.
Both heated seat switches light up but no heated seats. ALL fuses ok. The only thing we have had done is a new battery fitted about 6 months ago.
Any help would be appreciated, it's doing my head in now

Codes are needed, as suggested above.
The Freelander 2 uses multiple modules to control everything. So the only way to know where the issue is, is to interrogate the HVAC module for the codes.
