heated seats

Hi can any one help i have just put range rover p38 seats in my 90 and wont to wirer the heated seats in. There are 4 wiers from each seat can i just put 12v or is it not that easey

Should probably fuse them

maybe earth a couple of them too

And put a switch in or you'll have permanently toasted seats

The four wires are two pairs, one pair for the back and one pair for the base, the back and base are wired in series and there is a thermostat in the base other than that you will need a switch and fuse.

This might be a bit late but, have you tested the heaters? These fail for a pastime with the elements breaking where the seat squab cushions flex. I'm asking because they're a lot easier to repair/replace with the seats out. A simple continuity test is all that's required.

When you do wire them in make sure that you wire the two elements for each seat in series otherwise you'll have a hotter ass than you expect, for a very short time anyway.
