heated rear window

my heated window hasn't worked since i got it because of the glass but i always use the button due to heated mirrors...

Today yet another problem with the car

the Tailgate regulator snapped but at the same time the heated switch doesn't light up anymore

wondering if this is normal

wouldn't mind as much but only sealed my back door up on Friday with tigar seal to stop it leaking

I don't know if you Freelander is different to mine? My mirrors heat all the time!!
Maybe the CCU thinks the rear window is open so won't put the window on?
