Hi folks.
Been thinking about putting a heated windscreen in my old girl as she's got a few dinks in and does need changing very soon anyway.
The question is.. how do i wire it up?? what's needed as i'm sure it won't be straight feed from the battery lives without having to alter the current!!!
The rear door screen is heated but if i simply spur into this power from its switch, i'm not sure that doing so won't cause some issue with the power level to the rear!!!

Over to u :scratching_chin:

oh, and looking for a screen also should anyone have one ;)

That'll require a hell of a switch so use a relay. Before you start check to see which model you have as some have two positive feeds in whilst others have a single one. I bet (please correct me) that it will require a 70amp cable.

I've thought about this mod for getting going on a cold morning.

Keeps us informed.

I'm no auto electrician and not even sure i'm thinking on the right lines, so hoping for some suggestions as am sure others have done this.
I'll take a look at the wiring when i can and see exactly what i have right now.

Thanks.

If you don't want to put the wiring together yourself mobilecentre.co.uk do a plug and play version but it ain't cheep
