Does anyone know if you can get metal ones of these things, I seem to require a complete new set for both sides? They are very fragile and totally useless in plastic.
Is there an alternative so I can get shot of them altogether?:blabla:

Here's a little tip for you - when you buy and fit new plastic ones, put some copper grease on the metal balls and you'll find the plastic sockets don't split anymore.

Do you mean the little nylon/plastic cup with two screw holes that holds the headlight adjuster balls? If so I've never seen any metal ones, but they cost so little that I always have a couple of spares.
