Hi guys

Can any body tell me what colour wire is used for the dipped beam from the stalk to fuse box on a 300tdi..I know full beam is blue and white...according to Haynes it's blue and red but there isn't one and im stumped now :(

I've used Haynes manuals a few times and their electrical diagrams seem ok, but if u still can't find the blue red then check the continuity of the wire between fuse 10 or 11 and the multi connection plug on the lighting switch and note the colour wire u get the reading, there's not much wire involved just a metre I would say.

yeah theres not much cabling its just figuring out which is which, i could do with knowing what each cable does from headlight stalk as putting in new loom for sides/main/full and left/right indicators with new relays etc

There's not much to a D1 lighting switch, incoming 12v and outgoing the side lights, side lights + main dip or side lights + main high.
So only 4 wires plus a wire to the dim dip relay if u was still interested in that feature.

I thought this too but theres 10 wires from the control stalk lol..
iv listed what I think is right from rave 95 2nd edition page 213..

red - side lights
blue - dip beam
purple and orange -
black and blue -
black and white -
brown and green - headlights
light green and brown -
brown and purple -
green and white - right indicator
red and green - left indicator
blue white - headlight flash
