Headlight dips upwards

Hello,

On my recently bought 1987 defender I have a headlight issue.

Passenger side headlight dips and goes to full beam normally, but the drivers side does the opposite movement, so when i go full beam it dips and when i go dipped beam it goes to full.

They are sealed beams by the way. I am pretty new to landys, so not really sure if this is a stupid question or not.

Assuming it hasn't always done it I'd say you have a short somewhere or faulty earth

Wiring will be wrong way round, easy fix, swap 2 wires on back of the light unit, not sure which though but easy to find out as the 3rd will be an earth...

easy fix,re wire then reset the light aim if required.
