George is getting a bit of make up... The grille & lower headlamp plastics along with the grille type headlamp protectors are going into a local custom shop to be tarted up.

I decided on clear flame on an Icelandic Blue Mica background which is then laquered. It is going to very subtle indeed. It will look like the grille has been body coloured until you get close up.

Anyway, it was that or carbon fibre which is a bit pretentious for me on a 17yo car...

So, what is the actual correct title of the head lamp protective grille thingies?

I only need one as it has been previously damaged, but without knowing what they are called, I can't look for them and I can't get going until I have a complete one to replace it with.

Any help appreciated, any name calling absorbed and any haters will be shown the finished product :D

They were there when I got the car and if I remove them I will be left with holes which tend to look a bit more crap in my humble :p

However, I clicked the link and it states they are no longer available!

Am I reading the wrong thing or is this the case?

Thank you :)

May i suggest Isopan. Lamp guards are a sure fire way of ruining the front wings with little or no particular advantage in my opinion. I just don't like them.

Saint, are they upside down or is it just the angle of the shot??

Anyway, watching a set on ebay just now. Well, not like I have much else to do...sitting at home in agony while the rest have buggered off to the firework display. Mind you, I can see it all from the window of the flat, so no walking miles (not that I could) and no waiting over an hour to get out of the car park :D

My leg currently throbbing like a, well, umm.... broken leg o_O

You broke your leg?
I did more than that mate :(

Have a squint on the Anything Goes section... You'll see for yourself.

I'm fairly housebound unless someone can chum me down the 3x flights of stairs. Then I can use the crutches to get me to George and I'm sorted :)

But because it tears the energy out of me, I can only do it a couple of times per week at present.

Grit your teeth man and think of Scotland hop down the stairs on one leg and put the pain out of your mind. A bottle of Grouse may help. ;):D

Ha ha ha, I've gritted them down to stumps already

Actually, I have a bottle of Cu Bocan, available from Tomatin Distillery just up the road from me, or at any good spirit outlet ;)

It is seriously good and one of my favourites, but I am almost off the booze. I hardly eat either. Too many painkillers.

They tend to take away the appetite, which is actually a good thing :)

But in all reality, I was out in George today which was like Christmas to me. I was almost pain free, but it's crept back and it just sits there, eating at my ribs, arm, elbow, leg and ankle.

If you look at the thick bone, the bottom of it there is a faint white line, that's where it sheared of... then the little knobbly bit at the bottom is broken off and the thin bone next to it also broke off. The top of those two bones were split in a spiral fashion and they are currently giving the most pain.

Here is my leg a couple of days back, getting the cast changed and the wound cleaned. New cast fitted and sorer than the original

And a shot of the titanium screws holding my foot on  I have another angle, but it didn't upload. However, you get the jist.

Suffice to say, with all the bruising, cuts & grazes, it makes for an uncomfortable time :(

Missus did her ankle a few years ago, her foot was facing backwards. It is held together by titanium and screws. Bothers her now and again but not to often. Takes a while. No jogging for at least two weeks no matter how much you want to. ;):D:D

Not upside down....

The scallops are to be in line with the top lamp....the angle of the photo makes it look misalighned.

Was outbid, but I made the bugger pay

I will find one at a breaker locally,it's not like I don't have the time

I could even fix my own one as it's a simple break so I should look for a small drill, a 1mm drill bit, some small wire and epoxy resin... Hone my skills, save over a 100 quid
