1996 p38. - anyone chanhed those dimm bulbs in the headlight for better ones ?
Just looking.for recommendations before I get some 100 watt in it.

Yes I have them in the 99 v70.
Working just fine - bright and nice.

I did try them nigjtbreakers and they been a.waste of money
Not much difference to standards .

I put Phillips Racing Visions in mine. Pretty good.

What watts are they?
I just don't know how the wiring and the computer handles stronger ones
But tbf the standard ones are outdated and yellow. Lol

To be fair, the standard headlights on the P38 are pretty good as a rule.

When its wet and I drive dark roads through the woods the light is crap. Sorry.
Maybe I'm just used to light where I can see far enough.

I may try 100 watt ones.
It worked on my v70. They are bright now. And they had the same dark yellow shine before.

I fited fancy lamps to my Disco a few years back and killed my light switch suddenly when driving at night,
Scary. Never considered changing lights again

Mine (standard things) don’t shine very far. Think this is from adjusting the beams down when I lifted it. Was advised OSrams but good clean inside the glass I’m happy enough.

The new 2020 RR boasts new anti-dazzle your fellow driver technology which means the LED are the abomination we believed all along.

As far as I know 100W headlights are illegal not sure if they pass MOT
HID and LED are terrible to drive into on wet roads

I have a big arsed light bar in the garage. Haven't got round to fitting it. I might just do it to high beam arseholes with amateur HIDs.

Never had an issue with standard bulbs in my p38, lots of light across the whole road.
Driven a car with fancy modern lighting and while there was significantly more light, the quality was much poor in comparison, a cold white with harsh shadows
