Head Gasket nearly done, admittedly not as quick as Gav's :D I had a flaming rounded bolt and had to dremel the sides before I could get a decent socket on it to get it undone.

I thought I would clean a few things up before I can get them to the machine shop for skimming.

Can you tell if the liners are ok? I checked Gav's photos but just wanted a second opinion. I checked internally of the bores to see if there was a ridge of some sort and it seemed ok no particular definition of a slipped liner but would like to know peoples thoughts.

Many thanks

Matt

they look ok,but it is up to you to decide if they are.good luck with it anyway.;););)

the chamfer should come to silver metal, if its slipped it'll be black and you will feel it. the ones on mine were quite noticable, run your finger nail accross to see if you can feel it!

they look ok but obviously its harder to tell from here!!!

Thanks guys much appreciated :D

Is the head gasket kit from Island 4x4 any good?

I read about composites gaskets and the original metal gaskets with the advantages of the composites.
