Hi,
I've just been told my Range Rover 4.6 needs a new head gasket. A mere £1300 from my Land Rover dealer. They also state the cause may be the block has gone porous, but 6 months ago it was checked for this and found to be fine.
So my question is what is a resonable price for this work down south and also if the heads are off what else should I get checked/replaced.
Also can someone explain the whole porous block thing. Is it likely to happen after all this time ?
