Guys I m new member on this forum and I want to ask you one questinon with similar problem with HDC on my Freelander

I have Land Rover Freelande 2.0 TD 1999 year and when engine is started all the lights goes off only the orange light for HDC stay on.
All the thinks working properly-brake lights, reverse lights all is ok but I feel that the car is little blocked somethink like the HDC is on and ABS blocking wheel.

Thank you.

orange light is indicating a fault with the HDC or traction control system. this may be down to a faulty or badly adjusted sensor.

or do you feel the HDC is applying the brake to a wheel whilst you are driving ?

Yes I feel that the brake is applayed while I driving. At this moment maximum reached speed is 120km/h on 3000 and more RPM.

Try disconnecting the first gear switch and see if the hdc light goes off.

The braking feeling could be a separate fault, have you raised each wheel to check if any of the brakes are sticking on?

Where is the First gear switch. When I start engine,on dashboard I see two lights on 1.ABS 2.HDC fault. After 200 meter ABS light goes off and HDC falut stay on.

There are two switches fitted into the gearbox casing below the slave cylinder bracket. The lower one with the square connector is the first gear position switch. Also check that its wiring isn't damaged causing a short circuit.

Your ABS light is working normally.

You think that maybe that is the problem with HDC fault light.

OK Thank you so much guys.

If you know other think what can be connected with HDC fault light please tell me.
Thank you

The L-series diesel doesn't have an accelerator cable, it has a 'drive by wire' accelerator pedal position sensor.
