Hi,

Apologies for this, but the Wife's TD4 just cut out. We called the AA and when he came it would not start, but then did on the 2nd attempt. I suspect either fuel pump or injector. She drove it home with kind AA chap following behind. He didn't have suitable diagnostic kit onboard so could not help. Engine management light is on, so something is up. Just wondering whether there is a kind forumite in the area who wants to earn a few quid so that I know what needs doing?

If so, please reply or drop me a message and we can exchange details.

Many thanks

Justin

Please ignore. Seems that the vehicle starts when cold , but not hot. The wife just told me that she think she stalled it and it did not cut out. Like I said to her, that piece of information makes a huge difference to what the problem might be :-(

I will replace the camshaft sensor to see whether that resolves the problem.

Apologies, if I wasted anybodies time.

Hi, had the same probs on my TD4. Read codes and got 'intermittent crank sensor fault' - changing this for a proper land rover one £95 !!! did the job. Sorry I am a bit too far away ! Cheers
