Have been offered a V8 on LPG.

I usually take diesel D2's and know their sicknesses. So any advice on what to look for would be much appreciated.

It's been round the block a few times, so apart from the rear chassis members, all the usual V8 issues.

Ours is a 1998 build D2 V8, but we put a short engine in it when we bought it in 2009.

Biggest issues on the engine are:

Running with wrong coolant
Cr*p head gasket jobs
Lack of maintenance

In general terms there are more sob stories from TD5 owners than V8 owners, although obviously more TD5's were sold.

Agree with listerdiesel. Had my Disco 2 with LPG for 7 years with no issues. Regular in time servicing is important for both car and LPG system. Therefore check service history and usual rear chassis for rust
