I recently purchased southdown wing and top backet, got some flexi from m m 4x4 and my m8 bent me some stainless tube, going to have ago fitting tomorow. Has anybody fitted one of these and got any advice, wing on off etc silicone or sikolflex tigersal etc. also i havent brought the bracket Nbody ,ade there own or bought another type of bracket what works, any help well appreciated

When I fitted mine I left the wing on initially to mark up the position of the hole. Used a hole saw to cut a circle out then elongated slightly with a file.

A bead of tiger seal on the wing mount and then I added 4 large pot rivets for extra security while the tiger seal set

As you can see I went for the full kit

Thanks for that mate attempt it tomoz fedding the flexi through easy enough?

If you don't have the plastic arch liner its not too bad but you might find it easier to take the wing off once you have fitted the mounting

i fitted mine last week, had to download the wing template as southdown dont supply one with the kit???? i thought that was a bit poor as its only a piece of paper.
i fitted mine with the wing on and it took about 40mins to fit it.
i used rivnuts in the window post to fit the bracket as i didnt fancy using the screws supplied, tigerseal as much as you think it needs better to be safe than sorry

regards

Nick
