harvey frost

Hi, ive just bought a 109 pick up, i,ll upsett a few people here but i,m going to put it on coil springs for a giggle, 200tdi and a harvey frost in the back. I bought a crane today but it isnt complete, the cable is missing,not a problem, but the bit on the end where the cable goe,s and the hook fixes on to is missing, ive tried flea bay and cant find anything, anyone help ?

like that but the proper one has 2 hooks on it, guess i,ll have to keep looking

As you are in Sunderland, have a look at the local chandlers.

They use heavy-duty blocks on fishing boats!

The harvey frost 1.5 ton had a cable that went over top of jib and then down thru pulley block with single wheel with integral single hook , then back up to jib top where it hooked on . HTSH

Us old farts call em snatch blocks.

Have a look at the classifieds in Tractor and Machinery - they sometimes have stuff like that in the general section, might even find an OEM part but I expect it will have to be nearest similar. Some of the Classic Commercial mags might also be a useful source

Thats just the look i,m after, not to botherd about the crane working, just there for looks.Looking forward to taking it lanning, a friend has an orange 101 and it,s a splendid sight, think a 109 recovery will just as interesting, the coil,s will make it that bit more capable on and off road
