Hi,

I've got the Harmon Kardon system fitted to my 4.0 P38.

I know that it is cassette and CD changer but wondered:

-How many speakers does the system have (Inc the two subwoofers in the side panel in the boot?
-How is the system amplified, does each door have it's own amp?
-Do the subs have their own integrated amp.

Thanks guys

Tom

I believe you have 11 speakers. 2 next to the wing mirrors, 4 lower down , 4 in the rear doors and one in the bass box in the boot. Each door has its own amp and the bass bin also has its own.

Hi, It is usually depends on the model of RR to what system is in the car, I still have the spec books for 2000 models and the DHSE and HSE come with an 11 speaker system while the Vogue or other limited ed models come with a 12 speaker DSP system.

In the harman/kardon system im sure each main speaker has its own indipendently powered amp along with the sub.

This makes it almost impossible to alter the system and be able power the amps and subs with a new head unit. I tried fitting a Alpine MP3 boot changer which was supposed to be compatible with the car but the sound quality was shocking, I was told by a high end audio fitter that it would be due to interferance fron the external amps.
