When you say Hardy Spicer, are you referring to your UJ's? They should have grease nipples which you use in order keep the bearing pins lubed up. WD40 will do more harm than good, and it shouldn't really be used as a lubricant, but more of a freeing agent or a cleaning agent as such. It's ideal around the house or anywhere that isn't open to the elements mind. As for the swivel balls, if you spin your steering wheel onto full lock, go and have a look at the wheel thats pointing outwards. There will (or should) be a square head bolt into the hub / area around the back of the brake calliper. Unscrew it and top up with 'OneShot' to keep the swivel housings full of grease - put NOTHING else in there. Every time you turn the wheels, the swivel ball is lubricated with the grease that is stored inside the swivel housing. You should see a rubber seal around the edge of the swivel ball which prevents the grease from getting out and dirt / water from getting in. If the rubber seal around the swivel ball is leaking, it'll need replacing.
