Just to add that I had the same experience. I think Patriot make a good product and in a way, the "locking" of the screws in the rack probably make it stronger and harder to steal bits

But when I had to remove the back rail for my RTTent, I had to drill out every fastener. Patriot were reasonably helpful - they returned my e-mail within a few days but basically said "drill 'em". I tried heat, impact tools and eventually.. drilled 'em.

stainless is worse than steel and copper is also dissimilar.

aircraft and marine industry already solved this issue though, you can buy some tef-gel or duralac which helps stop it.

Have had a Hannibal on mine for the last ten years, they are the ****, have hopelessly overloaded it with all manner of building supplies and not a murmer. All that weight on top doesn't improve the handling mind...
Never been garaged and still in good nick.

Mine came with a Hannibal. Guy selling my TD5 had removed it and left it in his front garden for the pikeys to take. Spotted it and said I'd take it away for no charge

It even had the rear ladder and all fixings. Only piece missing was the slide out side platform.

Took off the side/rear rails so my ladders fit flat. Strong as f*ck and has taken a few knocks with no damage. Easy to refit side/rear rails when required. Often stand on it to trim hedges etc. Also makes a good viewing platform for various events. Saved me a fortune not having to buy it and I nicked the motor off him as the hi/lo lever was seized due to lack of use.
