EAS still up the spout after replacing whole EAS unit with known good one this afternoon. Anyone with any suggestions see 'Extreme EAS fix' thread for further details. All help gratefully received.

Could have really done with 4WD today, bloody VCU has gone, But the landy still did me proud with front wheel drive only today

Should be fixed by the start of next month though. fingers crossed.

Just had to drive 40 miles home after the front brakes started juddering when used, removed wheel's to check brakes before coming home, nowt obvious so limped home using the engine to brake most of the time. About to brave the cold to have a proper look:(

Grrr - blockage in my fuel tank which manifests itself every 6 months or so. A quick blow through at the engine end clears it all all runs well again. Did it again yesterday, so decided I'd drop the tank today and do the job properly at last after I got back from a meeting (suspect gunge in tank) - so it broke down on the way to the blasted meeting didn't it! Just to add insukt to injury, my *Land Rover* mobile phone also decided not to work at that very moment  - how bloody unlucky is that? Remind me why I have landy stuff?
When I finaly manage to get to a phone (dressed in good clothes for meeting so can't start working on Landy at roadside) turns out no recovery tow truck available till late tonight as they are so busy with all the Christmas shoppers breaking down! Bugge* bugge* bugge*

Yep, mines kackered. Snapped the cam belt and bent five valves. Another head, belts and all the other bits,,the 'B' now dosn't want to start. Thought it was the inertia switch at first, no such luck. Re-checked every thing, haven't found out why yet. Any suggestions anyone? Not sure if it's just so dam cold the battery isn't able to power it over quick enough to heat the air sufficiently. Thinking about trying a tow off.

Mine! I started it up earlier, and it fired first time.. then instantly died. I started it again and it was fine, so off I drove. 30 seconds later it cut out. Turned the key again and it works, so I drove to the inlaws, where I tightened up the alternator (was due to be done anyway) I started it just to check the tightness of the belt and it was fine..

So I went in for a brew. an hour later I came out and started it again, fired up ok but the second i let off the accelerator it cuts out. Rinse repeat x 3. I checked the injectors and fuel pump.. both fine. So I loosened off the fuel filter for a sec (ran pure diesel) tried the engine again and it worked fine!! So I drove it home with no issues, lag or anything..

Then When I got home, I switched off and fired up again... dies as soon as I let off! Odd!!

Either way, it'll have to wait a week now as I'm off to Centre Parcs!

Might just be the weather with yer fuel waxin' up... or it might be yer stop solenoid/fuel cut off switch;)
