Got my D2 back this morning from the garage.
I missed it lol... Only went in Tuesday afternoon after cutting out. Turned out to be the fuel pump in the tank

Anyway whilst it was in the garage I asked them to adjust the handbrake as it came up way to far before.

They did this & it now engages much lower

However it still doesn't hold the truck very well...

In my paperwork I had with the car I have a recipt for new handbrake shoes last July (2014)

Is other people's handbrakes crap or is there something wrong !!
Thanks
Nic

Either something jammed or possibly oil contamination on the drum/shoes, are you getting 3/5 clicks on the handbrake.

At a guess I'd say either
A) your gearbox oil seal is failing and you have oil leaking into the handbrake contaminating all of the friction surfaces or
B) you've done some wading and got a handbrake drum full of ****e.

My money is on option A). Have a look underneath, there will probably be a small drop of oil ready to drip from the lowest point of the handbrake back plate.
