Handbrake Problem

I have a ongoing problem with my D3 which is after driving in warm weather after about 45 mins the red handbrake light flashes continually and the amber like next to it is permanently on, then when you stop the handbrake will not work (you have to turn off the engine and turn on again to get the handbrake to work) - the engine also races when at a stop. Anyone else had this? And has anyone's garage managed to fix it? As mine is going back in again on Tuesday for them to try and find fault.

what year is it? the early ones had constant handbrake trouble, same as the RRS.

sorry i dont know much precise info, but it's definitely a common issue.

my mates RRS had handbrake problems when he bought it brand new in 2006!

Also there was a LR recall on a D3 handbrake so check with a main LR dealer if that has been carried out on your disco.
