Half shaft fitment

Hi
Just replaced the CV joint and have come across a problem. I can not refit the circlip as the shaft does not protrude ant more.
The only thing I have changed is that I have replaced the solid disk & calliper with vented. Both disks seem the same thickness.

slacken drive member and pull cv through as far as possible using one of the bolts hold cv while you refit drive member if that doesnt work you may need to strip back to stub axle and hold cv in place while refitting stu axle

Can I push inner axle too far into cv?

no you cant ,but they do need holding as i said
