'H' and 'L' lever back to front

After changing th T/B in my 110 from a 1.14 box to a disco 1.22 box I find that High range is now selected by moving the lever back when before it was selected by moving the lever forwards.
The linkage is the same and works as it did before.
I'm puzzzled

I thought they all selected high by moving the lever back?!?
well the disco and the defender do, well at least the ones i've owned and my mates does

my knob like that too, back for hi fwd for low on t/fer box? all the landy's are int they , well proppa dependers are anyhoos ....so what u been drivin, fookin toyota hilux?

High is back on my disco and 90.

we cant all be wrong? errrrr...........

whats yer knob read when in the high pos? HIGH if so thats acceptable

All the ones ive seen have been back for high too.

yup - back fer high, forward fer low.

The box I took out was forward for high and back for low so there

It's a 1,44 box and was in my V8 defender, must have the inards in back to front.

Knob reads correct now btw (back for high)

Forward for High, Back for Low in a Series

Does it actually move the lever on the box opposite way round or is the linkage different ?

Could be a series box as it is quite low in low.

Was wrong
Fired her up today and tried the gearbox, it's still forward for high and back for low. Never mind, at least it's running now and everything works.

Covered the moving parts in grease and oil mix and she clicks in and out like new.
Was hoping to get her ready to go and pick a caravan up from Suandersfoot tomorrow but looks like I'll be using the old faithfull zoo zoo again. Aching legs and back tomorrow it is then

Maybe it was ajusted wrong befor and just sat far foward for highs. Maybe one of the lever bits was on upside down. But i would say your probaly going nuts.
