Guesstimated MPG figures

My speedo doesnt work so I've never been able to workout what my landys like on fuel. All I know is when it was a petrol 2.25 it would need topping up EVERY time I went out in it! Now its a 200tdi the fuel lasts forever!

I now need to have a rough-ish figure to work out when I can do my 375mile journey. It will be on 205/80/16 road tyres and it has standard series diffs, a NON over drive box and it will be towing a twin axle car trailor. The trailor will be empty except for the last 145 miles where it will have an engineless Dolomite on it (there 980kg with an engine so maybe 850kg as it is?) The only thing in its favour is it's running a 200tdi


I shall be driving at a steady lorry pace in the slow lane so circa 55-60mph. Any guesstimates on to what it will average mpg wise?

I would be guessing mid to high 20's. might hit 30 if you are lucky.
