I had a cracking day. I came second in class. Some of the sections were much the same for the road going vehicles as for the specialist trialers and my overall score was a lower than quite a few of them.
A shunt is applicable to leave sprung vehicles and coilers over 100 inch. It's basically means you can stop and reverse to line yourself up more suitably for the next gate or if you can't make a tight turn.
No MSA licence is required but being a club member you are bound by the MSA.

Well done...2nd in class is good going. Good turn out? Ive had to work all weekend (double time tho ha ha) or I woulda come to spectate.
yes makes sense now, the shunt, turning circle is pretty poor and is worse in 4wheel drive. I got to put mine in 4 wheel drive to get up the rear lane then back to 2 wheel drive to turn into garage...still have to do a ten point turn!!
My mot is out in about 3 weeks so Im trying my hardest to sort my brakes out, Im getting a load of foam when bleeding them. I hope to get a couple of weeks use before shes in for mot work. I got the rear crossmember to patch up and door tops to replace.Id like to do a half tidy job like so not gonna rush.

Andrew there is a CCV trial tomorrow (Sunday7th) at Glogue quarry near Crymych. Should be a good day out. I'm entering in the orange thing in my avatar, I believe V8Jon is also entering his orange series.
Google Pembrokeshire Mudslingers and there's more details on the home page.
Cheers
Al

Sorry late reply. Was a great day, but had to retire two sections from the end. We had a heavy landing and it ruptured the radiator !! Up until then my scores were pretty low too.

So ive bitten the bullet and stripped her down to a rolling chassis. Do a tidy job. Moved the chassis up to dinas last night.
Anything coming up locally?

There's a RTV and CCV trial on Sunday 26th May at Woodpark near New Moat. That should be a good one, not sure yet which class to enter? I'll have to pop along one day and see your project.
