is it just me, or does it look like some shouldnt have been driven in that state?

the one that paul got stuck on we didnt do as it was to bad.

the one thats all sandy and with the tree was not that wet, its was the tree in the way that was the problem, the surface of the lane was only soft around the tree due to the sand

3 others we walked up and decided against

there was one that was fine for the first half but then quite wet for the second half but it was an impossible reverse so we had to go forward, it was quite hard packed under a couple of inches of clayey mud though.

most were actually fine apart from a lot of fallen trees

we didnt drive anything we didnt think suitable/or that we would damage, we skipped 4 that you could have 'pushed' but we didnt want to do damage

Don't mind him too much, I sometimes wonder if he's one of the bobble hatters... :)

Blimey yeah we were right next to that, glad there wasn't any pot shots at us as we drove by.
I got another puncture by the time I got home yesterday. Thats 6 in just as many trips. I think I need to take a look at the inside of my rims.

And yeah, i think we drove right past the gate, looks familiar. Must of just missed it thank god

He had a shot at ya tyre by sound of it lol
On a serious note we must of been quite close, Supprised plod didn't pull us all to one side if there was a shooting?

Yeah me to, to be honest when we saw that copper blocking the road and we came up behind him i had visions of side of the road spot checks lol

He did look a little suprised when we all turned up. I just told him we came off the byway half way up the road.
I'm on Tubes Ed, I had my rims shot blasted and I painted them recently but I have the feeling there may be some shot blasting grit stuck in-between the two rim halves that I didn't notice. It's alway tiny little pin holes I'm getting. I might search out another set of rims.

yeah could be, just enough to chafe and cause a slow leak. I suppose get the tyres off and have a look, give them a wash and feel for dodgy bits

I'm starting to think of investing in a Bead breaker to do them myself. Costing me a fortune keep taking the things off and putting new tubes in. I've seen a couple of ppl do it with their high lift but I don't think those Michelin beads will break very easy.
Seen a few full tyre changers on flea bay lately for about £200.
Last tube change cost me £60 got a bit fleeced really.

you can always then do it/let otehr people use it and get them to give you beer money or something.

Yeah those michelins have stiff sidewalls, proper bead breaker the only way IMO

I took a few pictures, though am too lazy to have an argument with uploading them to PB at the moment, will consider again tomorrow.

Sorry you've got a puncture Paul, not fun :(

[ QUOTE=The Mad Hat Man;2957864]Nope - just want to keep a few lanes to drive. We are loosing em quick enuf .[/QUOTE]

Fair enough old chap :)

I wasnt having a pop - I know photos can be deceptive. Never does any harm to check though.

no it doesnt, and your right to question. The lanes need protecting. However I can assure you guys that they werent as bad as they looked and we avoided the really bad ones that would have needed to much aggression
