I've been checking the OS Explorer maps 232, 233, and 245 which cover Tamworth, Leicester and The National Forest. Map 232 i've found 3 BOATs marked. map 233 has 7 and 245 has 10. I don't know if any are open or even worth driving. How can i check ?

Hi Nick, we have a driven a few lanes around twycross, sheepy and the likes. If you PM me the grid refs ill have a look and let you know.

I was actually looking through my maps of the area myself last night. There is a few more lanes and trailwise confirms there right of way. I think ill take a drive up there and walk a few of the ones i found. then the next step would be to contact the ROW officer to find out if there are any TRO's on it or if there are any issues.

Im at work alot this week, but next week id like to go and have a little look at some of these.

Matt

Glass?

Or, google for rights of way office in that area?

Yeah GLASS has a list of names and numbers for ROW officers in the area. but the council can also provide the this.

Just call the local officer and give him/her the grid ref's and they will tell you what the crack is.

Like i say i have a load of other lanes from the ones we did but some need checking out.

Some of the county councils have online mapping for the ROW. So it's always worth a look online.

Hopefully be able to join you next time.

feckin clutch pedal stayed on the floor this evening.....hhhmmm

best have a look tomoz I guess. Id rather not be using the dakar for the lanes round here cos its a bit wide!

I had the same trouble this week in a field in Wales.
A £3 clutch slave cylinder repair kit and bleed the clutch system solved the issue. I have the part number if needed.

Although it'll possibly a problem solved anyway as I read on through this thread. :D :D :D :D

Hi Chaps, Not been about much lately but watched your growing thread with interest. I am in the area and would love to tag along on the next trip. I have done a load of the lanes you guys did but equally some nice new ones too. Also done a fair bit around Strata Florida in Wales and would not mind a revisit if it gets organised. Cheers for now, Keith

Oh, yeah, nice P&P place just beyond stratford and there are couple of us planning a visit in the next couple of weeks if anyone interested

Pay n play day sounds like fun. Not aware of one near Stratford unless u mean Avon dassett but that's further south.

I'll tag along to that. Hopefully then next lane trip but can't do anything this Sunday

Righty ho..the 90 is now fully functional again after last weeks traumas

Anyone about this weekend...i'm sure there's a pay and play somewhere...i'll have to have a drink and see if that jogs my memory..if not, a few lanes maybe??

P&P at Halford is not available for the next 2 weekends due to club bookings. Beyond that we can drop off there when ever at weekend or shorter visit one evening during the week. Happy to give more detailed location details via PM if anyone wants to visit on there own prior to that. K

Wagtail is open through MROC this weekend. You don't have to be a member, you'll just pay more.

I'd be up for an evening there though, or indeed an 'ad-hoc' weekend meet for some playtime there

I away until next friday fellas but im up for the evening or weekend.

Ill have the 90 fixed by then hopefully! just drove home and every time i turn right i feel like something is catching and ripping but i cant figure see what the problem is! :(

let me know of any plans after the 10th.

Matt

catchin and ripping?

Yeah its like it catches for a second and then lets go! there is no play in the steering and it dosent make the noise when accelerating and braking.

Dosent make the noise if im turning left either. its real wierd! i thought my shock had collapsed at first but all seems normal in there.

Gonna give the garage a ring tomorrow and see if they can get it in while im away.

I need the 90 next thursday as im working and it will help me get around site!

Has to be a tyre related issue then.

Either catching on the front arm, or inside an arch. By now there should be a tell tale rub mark somewhere.......

Defender in for a couple of repairs Friday, assuming all good then could be okay Sat or Sun morning for a couple of hours for a wee play at Wagtail (P&P) or pick off a couple of lanes
