Greenlaning in Warwickshire

Hi Guys,

Just become the proud owner of a 1995 Discovery 300TDi and it is in fantastic condition for its age.

I would love to do some gentle greenlaning in and around the Warwickshire area and was wondering if there are any lanes or anyone that would be willing to show me the ropes, give me some advice etc.

I don't want to get involved with proper off-roading as it is going to be my daily driver as well

Well done and welcome to the club. I live in Nuneaton and will happily show you some lanes around Warwickshire.
I have also got a 1995 Discovery 300tdi.

im in swindon and in the process of buying a 1995 discovery 300tdi. mine if i tad along some time?

Not at all mate, more the merrier as long as you bring a rope.

Excellent, Well I am now starting to get my disco ready for a good year of laning and I am planning not to get stuck this year either.

mind if i come too im in coventry and fancy learning some green lanes

funkykipper, that sounds a great idea.

But just to be clear, when I say gentle, I mean gentle.

2 reasons

1 - not done it before, although I have done a couple of off road courses
2 - do not want to damage my car in any way as it is my daily driver and i want to keep it in good condition lol

Well my old girl will be all sorted by next weekend, god willing, so any time after that would be fine. Need to put together a route yet

I have quite a few in Warwickshire, depending where everyone is located so we can decide on a suitable meeting place.

well im happy to travel to anywhere really. all the ridgeway is now closed for the winter else i would sugest headin up there. never done the fosse so possible take a look that way??

I'd have loved to tag along as well, unfortunately my mate's 110 is still broken and my series is nowhere near complete!

We have done most of the local fords before, and ended up greenlaning around Barston and got very stuck,
