There are a few fairly local, around Southwell, a bit scratchy but nothing to testing. Will let you know next time were going. Where abouts in Notts are you?

Might be good idea to find your local Land Rover experience centre and go on one of their "trec/adventure" days.

You basically get to drive your landy with a convoy of others, guided by Land Rover experience experts. You get to see what your vehicle is capable of and if you get stuck, they're on hand to assist. It costs around £120 for the day and it's great for first timers who don't wanna take their daily drive along to some extreme off road club event.

In response to your question, yes it's possible to damage it while green laning. Some of the road conditions can be very bad and often challenging. If you have standard road tyres, be prepared for punctures because the side-walls are usually very weak compared to all terrain (AT) or mud terrain (MT) tyres. Even if you're doing non-extreme green laning, standard road tyres are very vulnerable to punctures.
