I've picked up a couple a gooduns of ebay recently and thought I'd start a thread where folk can blather on about what they've found.

First off, Scratchy...
I can't find the advert but I decided I needed a 110 truck cab, looked on ebay, found a battered yellow ex-quarry landy and in the advert the seller stated the first person to offer him 900 quids could have it which I duly did. Bit of a grot box but well worth the money.

Last weekend on of the tyres fell off the rim(!) They were all pretty shagged so I thought I'd get a new set but can't (won't) afford a brand new set. So a quick search on ebay and I found these:
eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace
Seller states that they're advertised elsewhere so I asked how much, £100. One nearly new tyre, three pretty good and one with 3mm left. Four on Wolfies and one on a standard Landy rim. When I got there he told me he happened to have another Wolf wheel kicking about and so I could have that. That'll do!

And I've been stripping down a seatbox that's going to need a bit of welding, sandblasting, painting, etc, etc. Looked on ebay this morning and found a brand new (albeit shop soiled) one for £120. Again, that'll do:

Oh, and a 4' jack for a fiver..?

Quite happy with them, me...

I bought 3 Rhino bars, 5 load stops and a ladder roller about 6 weeks ago for £35.:cool::cool:

I also bought a pair of rear bumperette steps for £20 including delivery a few weeks back. One day I might even get around to fitting em.

5 new modular wheels and AT tyres for £200. Seller only had a photo of the tread on his listing and that photo was crap, so I asked for more which he emailed to me, and I thought 'They'll do'. He also offered a car jack with the wheels and tyres and presented a new Defender jack when I went to collect. He then appeared with a hardly used 2.25 tonne trolley jack and asked if I'd like that too free gratis and for nothing, but he didn't think I'd be able to get it all in my car because of the handle. One bolt undoing and handle removing operation later I set off home a very happy bunny. Sold me old wheels and tyres for £190 so was quite pleased with myself.

To counter this, I often buy stuff that turns out to be ****e
