Grease gun

defo need a new prop, cant get grease in the one ive got its ****ing out as fast as i can pump it in.

do yu mean yu cant get any in? coz if so yo nipples mite be blocked.

do you mean you cant supply enough grease to fill the joints before yu find it has piled up on the floor? coz if so you have a ready supply of second hand grease - i suggest a mat on the floor so that the grease doesnt get covered in concrete dust.
You could change the prop, but it might be cheaper to just change the UJ, unless its the splines that are worn, in which case forget what i have just said.

the nipples are fine.im pumping it in and its leaking out of the sliding section at the same speed so the seals have either perised or dried out or fooked off completely.

mite be worth taking the prop apart - if I remember on mine, there wasnt that much resistance to the grease coming out, just the dust/dirt cover - no seals - but mine was full of water - had to dismantle the prop, clean it all out, reassemble it and then regrease - yu can check how worn the splines are at the same time.
Dont forget to mark both parts of the prop, if you do, because they need to be reassembled in exactly the same position as they were originally.

there was a tiny bit of water that came out when i cleaned the nipple

worth splitting it then to investigate.

I've done mine today, checked for play and no movement at all...
then attacked both with the grease gun.... pumped a couple of times and then grease started coming out...

So I suppose it actually needed grease and I've put enough to fill it in and then started coming out as it was full?

Ujs dont hold much, enough to fill the cups and a little extra.Two pumps sounds about right.
