just been looking to get my own diagnostic tool and noticed that obd2 on the l322 was from 2005 yet my 2003 is obd2 so does this mean a different obd2 system on these diagnostic tools.

Petrol or Diesel??
Diesel OBDII compliance was mandatory from 2004 onwards......Petrol have been since about 1996.
Some manufacturers made their Diesels OBDII compliant before this, but was not a legal requirement.
