Alright everyone!

After a little advice again....!

Me landy has developed what I can only discribe as a judder! My props were fooked to high heaven. So Ive changed them but the judder is still there!

It is a little intermitant. Seems to happen more when in low gears pulling off and more noticable when I take me foot off the clutch.

Ive had a look underneth and ive got some engine oil dripping out of me Bell (so to speak!)

Ive been advised that it could be my rear main oil seal gone and that oil is gettin on to me clutch and causing the judder. But before I take the engun out to change a 50p seal. I thought id better get more advice!

Thanks in advance for any help!!

oil on yer clutch gives yu a shudder only if the clutch is slippin.....if not it cud b any of a number of things....as drippy sez, or xfer box bearings gone as a result of yer fooked uj's......

also check yer brake drum on the back prop....see if ya kin jiggle it.....sometimes the nut in the centre of the drum behind the prop mounts gets a bit loose.

btw...yer landy looks neat!! always liked the military colours

the only other two times i,ve had it when i fitted new springs on a motor and it threw the angle of the prop out mekin the uj angles a bit tighter than they shud be and the time before that was the same result but with shagged up springs

Hrrmmm... you might be on to something there...

I replaced the drum handbrake about a month ago with an x-eng disk. I do have a little oil comming out of there. Thought just the seal needed doing or nut tightening up. But maybe the prop has fooked a bearing in there.

Nice 1 guys ill check out the suggested before anything else!!

Thanks again!

P.S. Thanks for the comments about my landy. Ive spent a lot of time & money on her. She is a 1986 Ex-MOD LR90.
Some people dont appreciate the military Landys. But who didnt want an army truck when they was a kid!!!;)

Quick update

Ive had my mate (who is a mechanic and works on alot of new landy's) road test it for me yesterday lunchtime. He isnt 100% sure. All the mounts are fine. The handbrake is not loose in anyway. The props are all tight and no play anywhere. The oil is not comming from the bellhousing, so dosnt look like rear main oil seal. The only conclusion is that the clutch is worn to fook.

Also took it to another landy specialist and they also suspect the clutch as there is only about 1/2" in the peddle before it starts to slip. They also said they would supply and fit a new one for £250. Sounds like a good price to me. But will be fooked off if I let em do it and ive still got this judder!!
