Hi to everyone on the forum.

I am registering on the forum as I have always found being part of forums to be helpful and interesting. I do not own as of yet a landrover, I am looking at probably getting a freelander, my partner and I are expecting our first Bambino , (well right now really)..
My other half is mad on offroad running and I am mad on climbing and moutain bikes. Im just finding that my current vehicle is not cutting the mustard. For information its a Bmw 330 touring, its a lovely car but im keen for an offroader/family truck!! When I left the army in 2003 I vowed to get a landy when the time was right. I have driven 90s and V8 snatch wagons in all manor of climates and condition .
I am currently an aircraft engineer working at flybe. I work hard but play harder. anything outdoor and we are there..

Hi and :welcome2:If it is offroading and generally messing about outdoors with the family you want the vehicle for, then a Discovery or Defender, or even a Range Rover Classic will suit you better than a Freelander. They will have more room, better off road ability, and in the case of the Discovery and Range Rover, be just as good on the road. They will also be at least as reliable, most probably more so, as the Freelander. Hope this helps, and good luck with the little one.
