hello all

just registered on here after buying a knackerd freelander 1.8 w reg 2000 last week

alls gone wrong so i will be requiring help at some point very soon....

Its the petrol version which is the same as my mgf so im pretty pleased as it will burn easily and im sure at some point i'll be picking peoples brains for answers on the most inventive way to torch the thing.

Hope its as good and friendly as my mg forums.....:d

By Hell Muddy Gonzo you get around, well at least it just wasnt me you picked on...ha ha ha

Welcome Newbe from another Newbe......lets sit back and watch the fire works....as its yours and my Freelanders thats on fire......wonder if theey have a thing about Freelanders on this site ;)

See ya around..

HullyGully.

hi hully gully....yeah it seems the freelanders do get frowned upon by others ....i may be jumping the gun without knowing anyone yet but would i be right in saying they have the more 'utility' styled landy's?...i was warned by my stepson (who regularly trials landy's and marshalls events)that they are affectionatley known as the 'gaylander'

trying to think of a good analogy but one escapes me at the mo....i just wanted a more practical car for my family as we have a little fiesta and my mgf which the latter is def not family orientated :D

heres one we sorted earlier

welcome to the forum. you'll be needing to order a few items from these people to be a user on this forum:

www.thickskin.com

the freelander does come in for a fair bit of abuse, and I'd know for I am the proud owner of one. 1.8 isn't the best engine it was ever fitted with, so keep a VERY close eye on the coolant levels.

other than that, all the answers to your questions will be on this forum somewhere, in amongst the "burn it" answers.

welcome again.
