The least you need to do is to send a strongly worded letter to the Service Manager, telling him if your findings and that they are lucky they aren't being taken to court for criminal negligence!
It might be worth sending a copy to Trading Standards too.

Sounds like you got away lightly. It'd be worth checking the wheel studs and wheels for elongation or wear caused by the loose nuts.

Only about 6 - 7 miles. Tightened em up with the wheel brace, will get em done properly today
