Well it pains me to say my beloved Disco TD5 has gone, to a point i told my son to take some pictures of her before we drove off in the new car, I just couldnt do it myself, call me a wuss, I know but I didnt realise how attached I had become to her.

Im now in ownership of 3lt Audi Allroad tdi quattro 06 plate, not as good off road i dare say but did I ever take the TD5 to its limit off road, No?.
Pure luxury and bottomless power now and the other point is I have her in doors off me back nagging the Disco was killing our finances.

I will off course watch this site and contribute where I can.

This is by no means Good Bye, but more of a huge thank you for all the help I have had over the years with my Disco.

I feel the same, lots of electrickery so lots of elecfukuppery in the future, i did try and tell her in doors, we wait and see.

I did the same 3 years ago, 05 Passat & it all went pear shaped.
Land rover's for ever from now on, in my house.

Unfortunately for Land Rover you are likely to get pure reliability from your Audi.

Anyway, enjoy.

You never owned a German car then obviously :D they go wrong just as often as other cars (probably not as often as a landy though to be honest) they just cost more to fix, and the big hammer don't work as well on them either :D

Well no, apart from 2 Mercs, 1 Audi, 1 Porche, 1 Golf and 3 Bmw's.

I spent no money on repairs for the Audi, the Porche or the BM's. One Merc blue a head gasket and I think the other had no faults.

Porche ah forgot about them they are generally good (but not as perfect as a lot of people think), but in my experience you can keep all the others :D

fabulous car, i just hope you dont get unlucky with it.

i am in the car trade and im afraid to say that german material has been producing some eye watering repair bills recently.

obviously most of the time they run faultlessly for a very long time, you just gotta hope and pray! :D
