going CRAZY stolen 110 hard top in liverpool

hello people .can i get some help on this 1 . i had my 1991 2.5 n/a ex con 110 hard top stolen H987 OKG ,epsom green ,white roof , 1st august last year 2010 in netherton liverpool,found it for sale 1 week later on piston heads ,painted wheels ,removed snorkel ,roof rack,stickers and changed seats.still my van 100%.phoned police, they told me to get in contact with seller and arrange to buy ,which i did acting soft arranged to meet him ,no propper address ,only mobile no.he said to meet him in pub car park,2 mile from were i live cheeky barstool .could not give me much info on landy ,no history, no miles very vaig answers . drove past landy parked up just to make sure 1000000% mine .police finally come 2.5 hrs later .
arrested him on susspition ,phoned me up around corner asked me about any id marks told him about 10 things ,which he agreed to ,said he would get back to me .about 15 min later comes back sez his documents match up it needs to go to forensics.no reply after 1 month .got back on to them ,went to station with all info i had on landy plus all things i had done and i.d marks .said they would look.1 more month no change 'FUTTEN HELL`what r they doing .complained to sgt .he said he'll look .driving around a housing estate in fazakeley 2 mile from my house 2 weeks later sees landy parked up a drive way. painted roof, painted checker plate, different stickers and window grills added .STILL MY LANDY THO .told sgt he said he would go round .so i parked up down the road an waited .sgt turned up in the dark with a torch looking around it,30 min later leaves . phones me up 1hr later said he carnt do nothing looks ok closes case .HELP wot to do next ,go back to police ,go SMASH him up big time go to solicitor,or go smash my own mint 3 grand landy and get insurance its sending me CRAZY

Go public and name and shame the cops who aren't doing the job they are paid to do!

Would it be any use contacting VOSA ?

by the way it is now D reg 1985 .epsom green ,110 hard top,with a black roof ,black checker plate on bonnet an wings ,snorkel ,grills on back windows ,black modulas with big durango tyres ,defender badge not 110 ,dint now in back drivers side roof ,adjustabel toe bar ,silver front light surrounds .steering gard ,rear x member changed 6 months ago ,holes in back door of old wheel hanger still got ali plate ,rear black work light left side,defender sticker above back door,landrover experience sticker on back window , one life live it under front screen if seen get in touch on here .what is VOSA contact details, nice 1.check back in later going to work now to get more funds .no mun no fun .

I would firstly make a written complaint to the Chief Constable of your local force. With the threat of suing him for the cost of your motor.

I would also make an appointment to see your MP, have him/her take it on and apply pressure.

and lastly if its your property what's to stop you taking it back, can't be theft coz its your property, if you go down this road I'm sure you'll get a better response from the police.

Phone the useless fxckwitt Sgt and tell him you are making a formal complaint and intend litigating. I bet he reconsiders his actions, or lack of them. What a prick.
