glow plugs problem

Hi all, just fitted 4 new glow plugs and was a sod to start afterwards, popped one out to test and not heating up at all dead as door nail. question is why?

Faulty part probably, did you test it accross the battery or use the vehicles wiring? could be a wiring fault

more than likly wiring fault as all 4 not working. going out to it now to check it out

I hope you fitted OEM Beru glows (assuming this is a tdi) and not cr@p 'County' ones that last less than a year and tend to seize in the head.... My tdi now has only 3 glows as one sheared off.

its a 2.5 n/a ,got these from paddocks. just been out to have a look at wiring all seems ok i cann't see it after it go's through bulk head though. ok so the only thing i can think of is that they not earthing themselves i believe they earth themselves, could i try attaching a earth (in wire form) to complete the circuit?
