Hi everyone

I've just done a diagnostic check of my 2000 TD5 and apart from the usual errors relating to options that I don't have for air con and abs, there are two codes 3070 and 3103 which are "Glow plug relay drive open load active". Landy starts no problem and I suppose just because I'm literally just thinking of jobs to do I've ordered a replacement relay as its a quick and easy swap. The part number I have ordered is PRC6913. I checked this on LRworkshop and seemed correct. However due to boredom Ive been looking at various forums and TD5 isn't mentioned for this part. Does anyone know if this is the correct part?

Cheers

Hi everyone
As with everything on this rebuild I went to change the GlowPlug Relay which is located under the passenger seat, and guess what? Yup, no relays under the seat! Does anyone know where the relay could be? I did find a connector which didnt have a relay but didnt have the same connector layout of the relay. I've attached some photos. Help

Anybody's guess where its been re-located, as standard it should be position 3 under the seat. Check in the engine bay, that will be the most obvious place for it to go.
I believe it is a standard type 70 amp relay and the timing it carried out via the ecu.

Ok - so I've established that the Glow Plug Relay insnt under the RH seat as its supposed to be, and so now I will just have to trace the wires back from the glow plugs (Ive checked some previous posts on here and someone had exactly the same problem but wasn't resolved. My 1999MY doesn't have ABS or air con). Does anyone have any idea what the yellow relay is and also what relay should be in the connector that is next to it in the first picture? Thank for any help

Thanks for the help Mystery.
I gave up looking for a relay that was the same as the Glow Plug Relay that i had ordered. I looked everywhere. In the end I stuck a relay into the plug tht was empty under the drivers side seat. Ran the diagnostic check and the fault code came off. I have a pscan which obviously insn't a patch on the Hawkeye or the Nanocom but for the money can do loads on the TD5. Anyhoo fault code gone so happy days
