Glow plug light stays on.

Hi Guys,

I was having hot start probs we my 98 DSE, so got thingy fae ebay that tells ECU she is cold when hot, fitted today but now glow plug light stays on when started and running.
Even when i disconnect thingy glow plug light stays on.
Does this mean glow plugs are on when light is on?
If so how long will they last before they burn out?
Could it be the relay that is sticking on and if it is can it be repaired on does it need to be replaced?

If you can help it would be appreciated as i go on holiday on wednesday and she is our mode of transport.

Check the Glow Plug relay located in the black box behind the battery. If you pull the relay and the light stays on I reckon it's something you have done fitting your hot start fix. If the glow light goes out, it might just be the relay, but it could still be something you have done.
