This info is for programming a single button fob, which I assume your systen would use.

1. Ensure ignition is OFF, doors unlocked, bonnet switch closed.
2. Ensure procedure from 3 to 9 is completed within 8 seconds.
3. Switch Ignition ON
4. Switch Ignition OFF
5. Lock Doors and Unlock Doors
6. Release Bonnet Switch
7. Switch Ignition ON
8. Switch Ignition OFF
9. If alarm is set, horn will sound and LED with light. Now programming of plips can be completed.
10. Press and hold down button on plip until LED flashes.
11. Repeat for additional plips.
12. The dash LED will extinguish if both plips have been programmed successfully

chears but i think it will be 2 button fob as its a 1996

1996 could be 1 or 2 button as this is the year they changed have a look at the alarm ecu on the passenger side foot well its hard to see he label i used a camera phone to take a photo and read the part number this will tell you if you have a 1 button or 2 single button can be programmed as said above 2 button get harder as you need a programmer

If it had a standard two buttom system you wouldn't be able to remobilise the engine with out the fob being present by the egnition switch.

Do you have a 1995 model year or a 1996MY which was the start of the two button system with passive immobilising..

Also as for no central locking if you don't have an alarm ecu u won't have CL either if you do then it maybe an iffy master actuator..
