Just bought GKN VCU and bearings for my TD4 Freelander. When I ordered the seller stated that VCU was made by GKN.

Arrived today in a Britpart box, on inspection I see that its got GKN - V 405520 15 020 stamped on it. No sign of being reconditioned / welding looks ok it.

From what I've read from other threads the stamp means its made by GKN and was made in 2015.

This sound ok? Just wanted to check before I fitted it. Cheers all.

Sounds fine to me.
I ordered a new GKN propshaft for my Discovery 3 last year. That also arrived in a Britpart box. It was clearly made by GKN with all the stamps. So it appears that Britpart are just reboxing GKN products. Probably a good thing to be honest.
