hi welcome to lz, if you bought it from a garage take it back. a good chance it need a new block. i know this is not want to hear. for this is a big problem with the v8..

The other cause of this could be air locks in the coolant system.
going to bleed system again now,the guy i bought it of has been good he sent me a new thermostat, which we later found was not working, supplied a new rad, but i think the problem is the coolant system is pressuring, at the momment the thermostat that is in is mangled so it is open all the time, car runs fine, but when it eventually gets to correct tempreture it blows coolant out overflow and top hose is very hard.

Just an update on my problems, i have fitted a new thermostat, new radiator, new header bottle, and cap, blew out return pipe with airline, rebled system, and all seems to be fine no more pressurising etc
just a word of warning got new thermostat, when fitted after a period of head scratching, found that it was not working, and had to get a replacement one.
