getting a freelander as 2nd car soon!!

hiya im 15 at the mo but ever scince i saw the freelander 3dr and 5drs i liked them and wanted one instantly

i like the 3dr 1.8xei version best
things to look out for any power loss problems
are the engines any good
can they be used of road?
has anybody got any picies?

im asking as my mum is getting one hopefully after xmas and my dads also getting a jag xj 4.0sport s reg soon too

Nothings wrong with the 1800 blocks, Tiny problem with the head. Listen to MHM and go for a diesel. its not a question of if the head will go but when.

Pros - 1.8 has more power than the 2.0 L series and the Td4 and its lighter. Revs like a champion on and off road

Cons - lacks pulling power, less torque than the diesels, so they are your best bet for towing. Problems with head gasket and position of old thermostat but new Multi Layer Gasket and loads of mods for cooling system have sorted this.
